Zine Jams

Zine jam workshops are open to everyone, free, and a great place for creative people to meet, greet and create.

They’re on the second & fourth Sunday afternoons of the month.

Rock Paper Scissors holds free zine workshops every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 12-3:30. These are spaces where anyone can come in and work on whatever it is strikes their fancy.

It helps that there’s a diverse and well-organized zine library upstairs, long-armed staplers, and motivated and interesting people wandering in and out all the time. In the past we’ve done arm-wrestling jams and comics.

Sometimes our workshops blend into classes held on the same day. One time the workshop morphed from a comics jam into the Stencil Nation workshop, so members were busy cutting stencils and talking about the history of street art in San Francisco and beyond.
