Once in a while we’re lucky enough to have the author come in and talk to us when donating. 
Rick Lucey stopped by one of our zine jam workshops and graciously presented his 24 hour comic Liz and Rex during our markering session.
Imagine a day on this earth, a day on which hundreds of brave souls subsisting on coffee, pizza and even healthy organics submit to the cruel but adventurous task of creating a 24-page comic within 24 hours. You’re not prepared with thumbnails or plan of any kind. It’s just you, the blank page and your mind.
That’s the 24 hour comic book day. It’s happening again this year on October 3rd. Rick crafted an interesting story with compelling art, which is really, really hard. He told us that he thrives on the pressure of the 24 hour challenge.
